TYPES OF PERSONAL AND NON-PERSONAL INFORMATION:
Personally Identifiable Information ("Personal Information") can be directly associated with a specific person or entity, such as name, address, or email address. The ABI Site
ABI does not intentionally collect Personal Information from the ABI Site unless you voluntarily provide such information to us. For example, when using the ABI Site, you may choose to send to us certain Personal Information about yourself in an email or by completing an online form.
ABI may collect Non-Personal Information from visitors to the ABI Site.
ABI may also use invisible tracking or counting devices known as "web bugs" to register that a particular web page has been viewed and/or "cookies" or alphanumeric identifiers that ABI transfers to your computer's hard drive through your web browser to enable ABI's systems to recognize your web browser. The ABI Software
ABI does not collect any Personal Information about you in connection with the delivery or use of the ABI Software, and we do not require Personal Information from you before downloading or installing the ABI Software.
However, some of the software you may download from the ABI Site is provided by third parties. These third parties may require you to provide Personal Information such as name, postal address, telephone number, date of birth and email address in order for the software to function properly. Moreover, these third parties may provide you with the option to purchase ad-free versions of their software, which may require you to submit your credit card or other payment information. We encourage these third parties to disclose their privacy practices on their own web sites, and we strongly encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing any of those organizations with your Personal Information.
ABI may collect Non-Personal Information from users of the ABI Software. ABI associates this information with a randomly-generated anonymous identifier for your computer and may use this information to enable the functionality of the ABI Software, to periodically update the ABI Software, to deliver and display ads served by advertisers, to provide you with or redirect you to content or web sites of such advertisers or other parties and offer you the opportunity to download software from third party vendors.
ABI may use web bugs and cookies in connection with the ABI Software.
USAGE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION AND NON-PERSONAL INFORMATION:
Unless disclosed otherwise at the time of collection or in this policy, we do not share any Personal Information you submit either through the ABI Site or via the ABI Software, with any third party other than our employees and contractors, unless it is necessary to respond to your specific inquiry or request or to comply with applicable law. We will never sell your Personal Information to any third party not affiliated with ABI without your consent, except in connection with the sale or merger of ABI or a division of ABI.
We may use and share Non-Personal Information in order to improve and enhance your experience on the ABI Site and our service and for our market research activities. We have no intention of collecting Personal Information from children under the age of 13. When we become aware that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected without such child's parent or guardian's consent, we will use all reasonable efforts to delete such information from our database.
COMMUNICATIONS WITH ABI; REMOVAL OF PERSONAL INFORMATION:
If you voluntarily choose to provide your email address to ABI, we may use your email address to respond to your specific question or request. However, we will not give your email address to another party to promote their products or services directly to you if that third party is not affiliated with ABI. If you receive an unwanted email from us, you can simply reply and ask not to receive future emails or send us an email at admin@abetterinternet.com and request that your email address not be retained. We are not responsible for removing your Personal Information from the lists of any third party who has previously been provided your information in accordance with this policy.
SECURITY:
The security of your personal information is important to us.
